Description

South of Athens, in the municipality of Elliniko - Argyroupoli. On an area of 15,7 km², the municipality has, according to the census of 2011; 51,330 inhabitants. Elliniko is famous as the old location of the Athens airport, which was in operation until 2001. The "Hellenikon Project" is currently being developed on the former site of the airport. It is planned to be a huge park including a beach, marina, residential and commercial buildings, hotels, and a modern casino.
