Three top tenor saxophones of European and world jazz with an accomplished vocalist and a fantastic rhythm section, make up this supergroup that will be presented at the Half Note Jazz Club, from Friday 1 to Monday 4 March!

Three tenors feat. Randolph matth – Τhree Μagical Τenors and A heavenly voice

How else can one characterize a formation where the tenors of Tony Lakatos, Gilad Atzmon and Johannes Müller, with the wonderful vocals of Randolph Matthews, meet the iconic pianist Giorgos Kontrafouris, the excellent bassist Grigoris Theodoridis and the great drummer Enzo Zirilli? This excellent band presents a collage of musical paths and improvisation between bebop and post-bop, between Dexter Gordon and John Coltrane and goes far beyond them. The scheme was created on the initiative of a separate summer school & masterclasses program, which is also an international Festival - of the Jazzwerkstatt Saarwellingen in SW Germany.
