They already rehearsed in Nik Bärtsch's hometown of Zurich earlier this year. Now, finally, the two acclaimed Artists in Residence from last year's Enjoy Jazz festival appear together live in Athens.

From the very first note, one feels overwhelmed: On top of the seductive melodies of Tania Giannoulis, Nik Bärtsch gradually spreads a web of dark rhythms and tones that one can really perceive emotionally on one's tongue as a warm earthy taste when listening.

Based on the classically trained, highly precise tone formation of both artists, the improvisation reveals a hidden inner logic in the music, which is then reproduced in a deeply moving sonic language never heard before.

So empathetically, so carefully, that the ear seems to become a fully valid third hand in every situation.
