Gallery Art Prisma inaugurates Eleni Zoumba's first solo exhibition "Meta Bodies - Images". The artist focuses on the human body, constantly hinting movement, time timeless. Free personal approach to the human form.
The art historian Louiza Karapidaki mentions, among other things, in the catalog of the exhibition:
"The viewer reasonably wonders whether the painter reveals or conceals human bodies. But this question does not concern her, she is only interested in her personal visual approach as a depiction of the human form. Her canvases show a new performance, after meticulous study on the morphological analyzes of bodies. These are not realistic representations nor fragmentary reports of a deliberate distortion, but simply images of a different and contemporary perspective. Zumba reconstructs the body or bodies according to her own perception and imprints them morphologically on a different reality. [...] The illustrative power of her visual compositions lies in their peculiar aesthetics, but also in the particular combination of well-formed volumes, color references and the perspective depth of her three-dimensional designs. [...]"
