Voukourestiou Street

Voukourestiou Street

Voukourestiou Street got its name from the famous Treaty of Bucharest (1913), which marked the end of the Second Balkan War and was famous for its luxury stores that were opened here from foreign countries.

Near Syntagma Square, Voukourestiou Street is an important street in the district of Kolonaki. It stretches from Stadiou Street to Lycabettus Hill, intersecting perpendicularly the Streets of Eleftherios Venizelos Street (Panepistimiou), Akadimias Street, and Solonos Street.

A very pleasurable walk to see the Syntagma Square, and of course, Kolonaki. You will not get tired because there are wonderful neoclassical buildings, many window dressings and people coming and going.
