Agioi Apostoloi Church

The church Agioi Apostoloi was built during 1000-1025 near the south entrance of the archaeological area of Ancient Agora.

Agioi Apostoloi Church was the first significant church in Athens and was dedicated to Holy Apostles in remembrance of the teaching of Apostle Paul to the Athenians in 51 A.D.

It was restored in 1956 and acquired its original form with the removal of intrusive changes that was done during the 19th Century.
