Description

Another popular national, private Greek free-to-air TV network and part of the Skai Group - one of the largest media organizations in the country. It first launched in 1993 with an emphasis on news and sports. In 1999, it was sold and the new owners gradually rebranded the station towards a separate, mainstream viewpoint - soon reaching the status of one of the top 3 TV stations in the country. It was relaunched in its present form in 2006 in the Athens metropolitan area and increasingly expanded its coverage nationwide. Skai TV is preferred for its high-quality international programs and compelling news coverage. The channel is also known for its cooperation with Turkish media magnate, Acun Ilıcalı (Acun Medya) to present the famous reality show Survivor as well as others.
