About

The periodical exhibition "Neo-Impressionism in the colors of the Mediterranean" (1891-1914) will be presented at the B & E Goulandris Foundation Museum from 10.01 - 07.04.2024. The exhibition is a comprehensive tribute to the neo-impressionism movement for the first time in Greece

The Vassilis & Elizas Goulandris Foundation collaborates with leading museums in Europe and organizes, for the first time in Greece, a comprehensive tribute to the neo-impressionism movement focusing on the Mediterranean region.

The exhibition is held in collaboration with important museums and institutions in Europe such as, among others, Musée d'Orsay, National Gallery of London, Center Pompidou, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Besançon, Musée de l'Annonciade, Musée de Grenoble, Musée national d'archéologie, d'histoire et d'art – Luxembourg and Musée des Arts Décoratifs as well as European private collectors.

The exhibition will feature works by Paul Signac, Henri-Edmond Cross, Maximilien Luce, Théo van Rysselberghe, Henri Matisse, Henri Manguin and Louis Valtat, most of which are coming to Greece for the first time.

The curators of the exhibition are Marina Ferretti Bocquillon, Honorary Scientific Director of the Giverny Museum of Impressionism (musée des impressionnismes Giverny) and Maria-Koutsomalli Moreau, Collection Manager of the B&E Goulandris Foundation.

Under the auspices of the French Ministry of Culture.
